Catbells Cottages is run by local lass Sarah Moir. Newlands born and bred, Sarah is the third generation to run the award-winning guesthouse at Littletown Farm, taking over from her parents in 2011. The farm itself is run by her brother, Martin, who is a hill shepherd, and you may see him out and about when walking in the valley.
In 2012, Sarah was approached by a friend and asked if she would be interested in renovating and managing his new property in Stair, a nearby village in the valley. Sarah has a passion for interior design, so jumped on the opportunity of beginning a new project!
Catbells cottages was created and grew from there, with Sarah now managing four unique properties in the Newlands Valley, alongside the guesthouse. If your looking for a holiday with a personal touch and someone on hand with local knowledge then look no further.
Sarah and her husband Rob have three children: Emily, Charlie and Rory. Each one shares their same love and passion for the area and for meeting and welcoming new people.
It is not unusual to find them all out and about in the valley with their dogs. When Sarah has any free time, you can generally find her out trail running or bagging some more Wainwrights with her daughter!
